Choosing well with Superbuy: agent, guide, shops and goods

Decisions made before the parcel exists, and how the member scheme should and should not weigh on them.

The case for Superbuy, and the buyers it suits less

Start with what every shopping agent does: buys on Chinese marketplaces for you, receives goods at a warehouse, photographs them and ships them abroad. None of that is unique to Superbuy.

What differs here is written down. Superbuy publishes a zero purchasing fee for the main marketplaces, two warehouses, a seven-level scheme tied only to confirmed shipping, and a help centre that dates its articles, which is how this guide can check them.

Another agent may suit you better if you ship once or twice a year, because the levels barely move at that pace, or if a line you need is cheaper elsewhere for your country. Compare a real parcel's shipping before deciding on loyalty grounds.

What this guide adds to the help centre

Why use this Superbuy Spreadsheet guide: because it starts where an order ends. It is built around the member scheme, the part the help centre spreads across four articles and an image, and the part with the most arithmetic.

It is independent: Superbuy does not review it, and the referral code on sign-up links is the only commercial tie. Every number carries the article it came from and the date we read it, so you can check it against the source.

It also says plainly where the official pages contradict themselves or say nothing, rather than filling the gap with a guess.

Signals worth reading in a marketplace shop

Choosing sellers starts with the shop, not the price. Look at how long it has been open, how many sales the specific listing shows and what recent buyers say in their own photos. A new shop with one listing and no buyer photos is a risk regardless of price.

Read the listing's size chart and material notes and ask the seller, through Superbuy's order remark, about anything unclear. A seller who answers precisely before the sale tends to handle problems better after it.

Prefer listings with a stated weight and clear photos of the packaging. Both help you estimate the shipping fee, which is the cost the member scheme works on.

Four questions any agent should answer in writing

Choosing an agent you can trust is mostly a paperwork test. Can you find the company that runs it, with a registration number? Is there a written fee table, not just a promise of low fees? Are storage periods and claim windows in writing?

And is there more than one way to reach a person, with response times stated? Superbuy answers all four on its Contact Us, fee and help pages, which is the minimum, not a guarantee of service.

Treat loyalty schemes as a footnote in that judgement. A shipping discount of a few percent never makes up for a lost parcel or an agent you cannot reach.

Choosing items you will be glad you shipped

Shipping depends on weight, dimensions, route and goods. Combining compatible items can reduce repeated charges, but a large box can cost more or remove useful lines. Compare separate and combined packed quotes; consolidation is not always cheapest.

Check what the line will carry before you buy. Batteries, liquids, powders and magnets are refused by many lines, and a parcel with one such item may lose access to the cheaper ones.

Buy for the item, never for growth value. A level is reached by shipping you would have paid anyway.

When in doubt, run the item's weight and box size through the Superbuy shipping calculator before ordering.

Shopping cautions: counterfeit rules, restricted goods and declarations

Superbuy's counterfeit item policy, help centre article 3464 updated on 1 September 2026, says listing counterfeit items is strictly against its policy and asks buyers to avoid such listings and report them to [email protected].

Your own country's import rules apply on top of Superbuy's. Declare contents and values accurately; Superbuy's articles on declared values warn that some lines cap the value and that a wrong declaration can lead to return, tax or confiscation.

None of this changes with level. A VIP6 member's parcel faces the same customs as anyone else's.

Other agents and their own member schemes

Superbuy is not the only agent with a points or level scheme. Oopbuy and Kakobuy, for example, publish their own levels, points or coupon rules, with different conversion rates, caps and expiry.

The numbers are not interchangeable. A level reached at one agent does not transfer, and a percentage that looks larger may sit on a higher starting price. Compare the final shipping figure for the same parcel, not the scheme.

If you already use several agents, keeping your parcels with one is the only way any scheme pays back; splitting parcels across agents slows every counter.
